Bilingual Online Risk Test
The El Paso Center for Diabetes is a not-for-profit organization that offers diabetes management, prevention, and support programs. They partnered with the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and CultureSpan Marketing to create the Diabetes Now What? campaign. One critical item they needed was a bilingual online risk test that would assist with their prevention efforts. We were more than happy to help!
The online test incorporates a series of questions that helps users determine if they are at risk for diabetes. In the questionnaire, the user’s answers tally up a risk level. They are then provided with next steps depending on their results. Results can be sent via text, email, or printed and shared with a physician.
CultureSpan drafted an outline and provided the design assets. We programmed the algorithms, animations, and resources for each test result.
Data Capture
The online test also captures data such as user behaviors and demographics. All of the questions are anonymous so there is no way to determine who the users are. However, the information will provide valuable research data for El Paso Center for Diabetes’ current and future projects. Since the online test is bilingual, we programmed two separate data sets for English and Spanish.
